New Version of Google Search!

Google is facing stiffer competition these days due to Microsoft's intense marketing campaign for their new Bing search engine. Apparently while everyone is having Bing jammed down their throats Google has been working furiously on a new version of their search engine. They recently released an alpha/beta/preview whatever you want to call it to the general public so anybody can check it out. On the surface it looks the same but Google says it will be faster, bigger, more accurate and more comprehensive than their current product.

Check it out for yourself here.

crazedlist.org search craigslist like a madman

Here is a useful tool I found for scouring Craigslist. If you live in New England you know the pain of trying to search every region in Craigslist from Connecticut to Maine. Crazedlist.org lets you select any number of regions to search on and aggregates the results in one massive list. They even have predefined search areas in a drop down menu (one of which is New England, sweet). Crazedlist also gives you a XML file which includes RSS feeds for each region.

The only catch is they want you to disable your browsers ability to send the site that referred you. This means that if Craigslist decides to block Crazedlist they won't have any way to tell that your searches originated from their site. Instructions on how to do so are included on the site.

Check it out at www.crazedlist.org.
